Concerning a proposed amendment to the Community Improvement Plan

As directed by the Eastern Ontario Health Unit, the public meeting scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2020, is cancelled to consider an amendment to the Community Improvement Plan.

This preventive action follows measures announced Friday by the Ministry of Health, which aims to control the spread of Covid-19. These are precautions to ensure the health and safety of the citizens of Hawkesbury, as well as all staff.

Following instructions from the Government of Ontario, the Town of Hawkesbury will maintain the closure of Town Hall, the Sports Complex, the fire station, the water plant and the public works building, until further notice.

To ensure the health of our staff and patrons, the library will be closed until April 5.

During this temporary closure, we are taking several steps to support you as much as possible.

If you have books currently on loan, please hold onto them. Our book drop will not be available while we’re closed. You will not incur any late fees and any outstanding library fines will not accumulate during this time.  Any outstanding library fines will not accumulate during this time.

We continue to work closely with the Town and health officials and are committed to keeping you up to date as things evolve and change.

Online services still open

All our online resources will still be available, 24/7 and can be accessed remotely using your library card. Visit www.bibliotheque.hawkesbury.on.ca to download eBooks, audiobooks and magazines and use our online resources.
