Waste and Recycling
Information about the colour-coded stickers to identify issues with trash or recycling collection at individual households. These stickers will make it easier for you to understand why your trash has not been picked up.
All garbage must be placed within the grey municipal garbage bin that was sold to homeowners in 2023.
You will have received this sticker if you are not using the approved designated bin.
Please contact us at 613 632-0106 or if you wish to purchase an additional designated garbage bin. Note that garbage user fees are calculated per bin, so an additional bin will incur additional costs.
Each household is limited to the volume contained in your designated bin. Any additional bags must be tagged with an "extra garbage bag tag".
You will receive this sticker if:
- Your garbage container is too full (the lid of the container must close);
- You have extra bags that are not tagged (10 of these labels are given free with each wheeled bin). Additional bag tags are sold at Town Hall (3 for $10).
Note that there is no limit to the recycling collection.
