eHawkesbury is a volunteer-based group that focuses on grassroots projects that have major impacts on citizens. It does community clean ups, river edge clean ups, it supports local sporting, music, art and other entertainment events.

Please note, the Tourism Centre,previously located in the shed near Confederation Park boat launch,  is now located at Le Chenail Cultural Centre (maison de l'île). For more information about opening hours, please visit the Municipal Boat Launches page under Living and Recreation and Tourism tabs.

Also note that boat launches will be closed for Canada Day on:

Philippe Boat Launch - Close on June 30th and open on July 1st

Confederation Park Boat Launch - Close on June 30th and July 1st

 

Please be advised that should the recyclable materials in your blue box is not picked up by 5:00 p.m. on your scheduled collection day, then it will be concelled for that week.

The Ottawa River Regulation Commission forecasts water levels to rise an additional 0.05 to 0.15 m above the 2017 levels and are projected to peak on April 30th. If however you feel the need for sand bags, contac the Fire Department at 613-632-1105.

As a result of heavy rains and rapid snowmelt, the Town of Hawkesbury has been advised of the risk of failure of the Bell Falls Dam on the Rivière Rouge that could cause damage to the Ottawa River in the municipality of Grenville-sur-la-Rouge.

The Town of Hawkesbury wishes to inform its citizens that it is not concerned for its sector, but continues to monitor the situation very closely. Being in constant communication with Emergency Management Ontario, she remains ready to respond if necessary.

Residents should stay away from fast-moving rivers and streams and regularly check updated messages about spring weather conditions.

All new developments will be issued to the population as quickly as possible.
