Hawkesbury - The administration, in collaboration with the Municipal Council of Hawkesbury, has recently concluded the budget review process. This decision stems from a pragmatic approach aimed at mitigating the financial impact on the community, while maintaining the quality of municipal services.

Faced with significant budgetary pressures this year, the municipal administration conducted a thorough review of its expenses. Discussions took place during the budget sessions on November 15 and 30, during which the Municipal Council and the administration worked together to find balanced solutions.

For 2024, the administration has adopted an approach to maintain services, while preserving the efficiency of services to citizens. This proactive step aims to limit the financial impact on Hawkesbury residents, with a tax rate increase of 4.75%, resulting in an average increase of less than $100 per year, per residence.

The final decision will be put to a vote during the Municipal Council meeting, scheduled December 11th.
