      At the September 23, 2024, meeting, Council will consider a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that proposes the declaration as surplus, and transfer, of the parcels of land of the following properties:

    • Public meeting concerning zoning by-law no 20-2018 (D14-144)

      Take notice that the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Town of Hawkesbury will no longer hold a public meeting on the 9th of September 2024 at 5:00 p.m., as previously advertised, instead a public hearing will be held on the 23rd of September 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at Town Hall, 600 Higginson Street to consider a proposed Amendment to Zoning By-law No. 20-2018 under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13.

      The purpose of the application is to rezone the subject site municipally known as 1300 Spence Street, a vacant lot, to allow for the construction of a municipal service garage, storage shed and salt shed on site.

    • INTERRUPTION OF WATER SERVICE

      KIPLING AND ALLAN STREET REHABILITATION PROJECT

      Please be advised that due to construction, water service will be interrupted

      Monday, August 19th, between 8a.m. and 2p.m.

      for all addresses located on Kipling Street

      for addresses on Nelson West St., located between Kipling and Kitchener St.

      for address 352 on Main W Street

      We recommend that you make any arrangements necessary to prepare for the interruption. We anticipate that your water service will be reinstated before 2:00 p.m., provided that there are no unforeseen circumstances.

      Cloudy or discoloured water: Once the water is restored, we recommend that you verify if the water is coloured. If the water is coloured, leave the cold water taps running for about one minute, until the water returns to its usual colour. Note that this discolouration will have no harmful effect on your health.

      We apologize for the inconvenience. If you have any questions or require further information, please reach out to the project team using the contact information provided below.

      Please note that work will only take place if weather permits. The water service disruption will be rescheduled for the following business day if the work is postponed as a result of inclement weather.
