The downtown Hawkesbury benches project is a collaborative initiative between the Hawkesbury Business Improvement Area Commission (BIA) and the Town of Hawkesbury. The project calls for the installation of eight (8) benches on Main Street East, between the McGill St. and William St. The aim is to revitalize Main Street by providing citizens and visitors with pleasant places to rest.
The Town is seeking public input to determine the eight (8) best locations for these benches. Fourteen (14) potential locations have been strategically identified to ensure a comfortable seating experience, without impeding pedestrian traffic. Priority was given to locations with trees to provide shade during the hot summer months.
This project aims to improve the Main Street experience, and your participation is essential in this decision-making process.
