The Town of Hawkesbury believes that the strength of a community lies in the health and well-being of its residents, it implements an annual initiative to support community organizations in various ways. This support aims to strengthen the ties between the Town and these organizations. Organizations are invited to submit their support applications between February 1 and March 31, 2025. The application form will be available at the following link: https://www.hawkesbury.ca/en/recreation-and-community/in-my-community/organization-support-program

What types of support are available?

• Administrative Support: Assistance with insurance or event promotion—we’ve got you covered.
• Financial Support: Events may qualify for funding to create a new event or launch a new organization.
• Physical Support: Access to equipment or facilities.

1 - Before Applying

Certain criteria must be met before submitting your application:

• Is your organization recognized by the Town of Hawkesbury?

  If not, you must complete the form at the following link by February 20, 2025: https://www.hawkesbury.ca/en/being-recognized-by-the-town

  Being recognized comes with several benefits, such as the ability to post your events on the electronic board on Higginson Street and the screen at the Sports Complex. You’ll also gain visibility in our annual calendar under the Service Directory section and post on our website upcoming events. 

• Have you renewed your organization’s status?
  To maintain ongoing communication with organizations, it’s important to take five minutes to fill out the renewal form. Complete the form here: https://forms.office.com/r/py4wYAGHA8.
• Is your activity, event, workshop, or initiative taking place in Hawkesbury?
  Yes? Perfect!
• Does your activity meet the following criteria?
  • It does not involve any religious, political, or violence-inciting activities.
  • It is accessible to all and not exclusively for a limited portion of the population (e.g., members-only).
  • It is not for-profit and does not have an unsolicited recruitment objective.

2 - What do we start with?
If you are not yet recognized by the Town, it’s time to submit your request. Any support request will not be considered if you are not recognized.
Check the Town’s website for all the details about the eligibility of your organization or event.
