What you need before applying
Each candidate wishing to join the team must provide, during the application process, a series of mandatory documents:
- Criminal Record Check:
All candidates must provide an up-to-date criminal background check for working with vulnerable individuals. - Social Insurance Number (SIN) card
- Driver’s license
- Health insurance card
- Proof of qualifications required in the job posting
The original documents must be scanned in color and submitted at the time of the job offer. - Proof of authorization to work in Canada or work permit
When applying, it is important to submit, not only an up-to-date resume, but also a cover letter.
Application process
Anyone wishing to apply to the Town of Hawkesbury must go through a series of steps:
- Verification of available positions
All positions posted on the Town's website are those currently available. It is the responsibility of each applicant to read the job requirements carefully. - Submitting your application
You must submit your application for the position by using the application form on the Careers page of the Town's website. All applications must be submitted by the deadline indicated in each job posting. - Evaluation of applications
All applications for a position will then be evaluated. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted by the Human Resources Department. - Pre-selection interview and face-to-face interview
For successful candidates, a telephone screening interview and/or an in-person interview will be arranged. - Job offer and background check
Once the interviews have been completed, the successful candidate will receive an offer of employment. A background check will then be carried out. The process is completed when the Human Resources department has finished its routine check.
