Higginson Street will be closed from James Street to Stanley Street from October 22 to 29, 2025 to allow for sewer and sanitary service connections. Please follow the detour signs in place. Thank you for your understanding.

On October 16, the Town of Hawkesbury celebrated a great success with its Open House Day. The event provided residents with the opportunity to share their views and ask questions about two major municipal projects: the Town’s Official Plan and the Parks and Recreation Master Plan. 

A scheduled power outage will take place Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 5:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

Please note that we will be closed on Monday, October 13, 2025, due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Please note that due to the Canada Post strike, the Town of Hawkesbury is currently unable to send or receive bills for water/sewer/waste fees by mail. Billing is still scheduled for October 15. However, to allow users to access their bills despite the Canada Post situation, the payment due date originally set for October 31 is postponed to November 28, 2025. It is important to note that late fees will apply to any unpaid bills after this date.
