Ontario Extends COVID-19 Orders

Extensions needed to keep individuals, families and communities safe.


The Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, has extended all orders currently in force under the Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act, 2020 (ROA) until December 21, 2020.

MCGILL STREET AND SPENCE AVENUE CLOSURE


 

This notice is to inform you that the Canadian National Railway (CN) will be proceeding with the refurbishment of a total of three at grade crossings. One located on McGill Street as well as the two located on Spence Avenue. Therefore, in order to proceed with the required work, the following streets will be completely closed: 

  • McGill Street – Monday November 16 from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm;
  • Spence Avenue Between McGill St. and Cartier Blvd. from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Therefore, the Streets mentioned above will be completely closed. We ask that you follow the detour signs in order to by-pass the construction zone. In case of an emergency during the construction period, please contact the Public Works at 613-632-0106, ext. 2020, during working hours. In case of an emergency after working hours, please contact the Fire Department at 613 632-1105.

SPENCE AVENUE

CLOSURE


 

This notice is to inform you that the Town will be proceeding with road reconstruction work between Tupper Street and Cameron Street. The works will take place Wednesday, November 11. Therefore, Spence Avenue will be completely closed. We ask that you follow the detour signs in order to bypass the construction zone. Furthermore, paving work will take place on November 12 and 13. Spence Avenue will be accessible to local traffic only.

In case of an emergency during the construction period, please contact the Public Works at 613-632-0106, ext. 2020, during working hours. In case of an emergency after working hours, please contact the Fire Department at 613-632-1105.

This notice is to inform you that there will be municipal infrastructure work performed Wednesday November 4, 2020, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of Aberdeen and Catherine streets.

During this time, a water interruption will occur which can cause a reddish colouring of the water. Before any use of water, we recommend that you verify if the water is coloured. If the water is coloured, leave the cold water taps running until the water returns to its usual colour. Note that this discolouration will have no harmful effect on your health.

Also, during this time, a temporary road closure will occur at this intersection.

NOTE: Work will be postponed to a later date if weather conditions are unfavourable.
