This week, Hawkesbury’s Fire department continues its residential visits to make sure you have functional smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in your residence.

In fact, 10 % of annual loss fires occur in the month of June and an average of 42 injuries and 5 fatalities as well. Smoking incidents, cooking equipment and electrical fires are the most common ignition sources for these fires.

The # 1 priority of the Fire department is fire prevention and we want to assure your safety. Don’t forget that in the province of Ontario, a functional fire alarm is the law!
